I was SO not connected to my baby and enjoying my pregnancy that time. As for the second, well, I direct you to the blog post linked below. :-)

http://bethanyactually.com/38-weeks-4-days/

Hang in there. I had these EXACT feelings throughout much of my pregnancy...sure, there's a baby in there...but he/she doesn't have a name, we don't have "memories" together yet, I don't even know him/her...so, no, I'm not feeling like I'm "totally in love already" or anything. I'd say for me, at least, it might have taken a few hours...and then a few months, once she was actually DOING STUFF (besides sleeping, eating, and crapping) to feel a real super bond. Ugh. More reasons why we all gotta cheer, "all pregnancies are different! all babies are different! all mommies are different!". Let's get together and chat about our mutual disdain for all these annoyances during pregnancy. Pregnnoyances. Some parts of pregtime are fun, others...meh...I'm just glad you're one of the ones who likes SOME of it! I love that.

If it makes you feel better: I asked a girlfriend once if she was just loving being pregnant, and she said "absolutely not." She is a wonderful mom to her little girl. Never fear - every woman's pregnancy is different.Summer Kennyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14496508194649951699noreply@blogger.com
